Good Movie!

My brother took me to see this movie when it first came out. I sure am glad he did.

I agree! My aunt took me to see this when I was 10. I watched the movie through my fingers, yelling "This is the best movie I've ever seen!"

and That Christmas I Got my 1st Indy Whip. I Had it For Over 25 Years, But With All Things
It Fell apart. It's Not the Years, It's the Milage. But Now I Have my 2nd Indy Whip and I'm Sure It will Last another 25 Years ~

Unfortunately I wasn't around for the release of either Raiders of Temple of Doom and I was only about 3 when The Last Crusade came out. But Raiders is one of the first movies I ever remember seeing as a kid and I've been in love with it ever since. Hands down a classic.

Quick greetings to all, just joined the forum today!

Fortunately, or maybe not so much so, I'm old enough to have been a year into college when RAIDERS debuted in theaters. It wowed me from the first few minutes and hasn't ceased to do so in the 20+ years since. In fact it's playing on DVD behind me as I type.

Hard to remember how new and exciting it felt so long ago when there was no other such film to compare it to, but it was the start of an amazing cinematic adventure. I'm sure looking forward to the next chapter!

I'm on my third bullwhip right now. My first one exploded in a puff of Mexian leather, and I sold my second one to buy the third one!

Anyway - Raiders is my favorite of the 3, but Temple is actually getting closer and closer each time I watch it. Weird, huh?

It's funny. But I've noticed that people's favorite film is usually determined by which one they saw in the theater first. I've noticed that with Star Wars too. Kids who weren't around for the first trilogy actually prefer the second.

That is interesting - Temple of Doom was the first one I saw when I was a kid, but I've always just said that I liked Raiders (I guess it was peer pressure). But I notice that each time I watch Temple, I like it a little more. Maybe it's just finally catching up to me... maybe I need new gear now!

I've always liked ToD a great deal, though I think RAIDERS is the better film. I liked DOOM's dark tone and great action sequences, but would have preferred a little less slapstick humor -- though I can see why they put it in to balance the nightmarish events.

I think the theory of "which movie we saw first" is generally a truism, though TESB is my favorite of the films and I saw it second (naturally).

Always thought the first one was the best! No doubt!

I also thought Raiders was a very Good movie when I saw it and I could remember my favorite scene would have to be Indy shooting the Swordsman in the street of Cairo , the favorite one in the Temple of Doom would have to be Mine car chase , and the favorite in the Last Crusade for me would be the Tank Chase and I know I'll going to have a favorite scene in Indy 4 but I'll wait to see first .

yah its the best movie ,TOD used to be my favorite but as i matured i guess i realized ROTLA and all its glory.
