Hello, everyone!

Greetings fellow IndyFans!


First of all I want to apologize. I signed up here about a week or so ago and I haven't had the time to make my way back over here and properly introduce myself.

Some of you already know me from being members at some of the other sites I visit. My name is Chris but I've been going by the handle "Pitfall Harry" ever since I got into the hobby of collecting gear around 1995.

I've been a fan of Indiana Jones since I saw Raiders in the theater. Indy has always been at the top of my list when it comes to favorite fictional characters and the films surpass even the Star Wars films as my all time favorites...

I used to dress up like Indy all the time as a kid. Of course as I got older I gave all of that up. It wasn't until a few years ago when I was looking to put together an Indy Halloween costume that I got pulled back into Indy's world full-time and I was amazed that there was still such a large fanbase for the character and that they themselves had been working very hard to re-create the outfit the exact same way we saw it on screen.

I've had a lot of fun over the last few years with this hobby and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Encase anyone is wondering. The hat I'm wearing in my avatar is a Rabbit Adventurebuilt made by Steve Delk. It is one of the last ones he made before discontinuing the Rabbit AB line. I paid $110 for it. Steve styled that for me after the scene at the beginning of Raiders....(The Waterfall Style) I have since tweaked the hat on my own since I've owned it.

Well, there have been a few times I've worn everything except for the bag, gun belt and whip.......Most of the time I just kinda mix and match stuff.....like the shirt with a pair of jeans....stuff like that.

Now I just don't wear my hat that often. I've just never been into wearing hats at all. Most of the time I wear my AB when I'm doing my gear shots or if I'm going on a trip......I usually don't when I'm just going to the store or doing some other mundane daily task.

Now I wore the entire outfit for Halloween and got a great reaction from everyone. My fear is that once the new movie gets closer to opening and all the merchandise hits the shelves that I won't be able to wear the stuff because I'll end up attracting attention that I don't really want.

I guess the piece of gear I've gotten the most use out of was my Wested Goat.....that jacket went with me everywhere.

I pieced that together using the background from one of those MSN online video games..... I forget the name of the game though.....

PH, your gear really looks natural. You wear it well. The hat is awesome! I'm saving up for one of Steve's hats, as he is now officially Da Man.
